The Team

Vincent Mireau, Lead Psychologist

In my life, some of my core values are:

  • affirming client rights and responsibilities of professionals

  • making a positive impact

  • providing ethical stewardship of client information

  • freedom of time and freedom of relationship

When I was a teacher and school counsellor, I was able to rely on colleagues or guest teachers to look after the students if I had to step away. It occurred to me during a workshop on record keeping that psychologists do not typically enjoy this same web of support.

I am a mid-career psychologist looking to create a new type of service and promote freedom / self-care in our profession. I have additional training and experience in safety work, insomnia, trauma, child and family work (both talk and play based), addictions, and school psychology.

As a counselling professional, I am quite interested in Common factors theory, the Polyvagal Theory, creative forms of CBT, the use of EMDR, Transactional Analysis, and Narrative principles. I am passionate about the effective promotion of safety in the context of domestic violence and chronic suicidality. I am fluent in English and French.

The team includes: A group of psychologists and a part-time business manager. The support team includes: consultant psychologists, a licensed estate advisor, insurance professionals, and lawyers. Each professional stays in their lane.

We continue to interview in order to add more psychologist teammates who want to provide single session or short-term counselling from the comfort of their own virtual space. We aim to be delightful to work for. We are not hiring or supervising provisional psychologists at this time. We are not supervising graduate students at this time.
